Lisgar similar to other communities in Mississauga contains a vast history, dating back to 1819 with the first settlers in the area. As time has progressed the historic character that Lisgar once contained have diminished. Located in northwest Mississauga, the community as a whole is warm and welcoming. It is a community that is multicultural and is evident in the restaurants and shops that are present within the community. The homes in Lisgar are on average 25 years or less in age, making them younger than some other areas in Mississauga. It is an outstanding community for young or first time homebuyers due to the pricing of homes.
